The Victorian Cat Society<\/strong> was born out of that energy.<\/p> Inspired by 19th-century engravings, satirical book illustrations, and the unmistakable emotional range of the domestic cat, this mini-collection imagines a world where cats recline on chaise longues, clutch pearls, and register mild inconveniences as personal betrayals.<\/p> These are not playful kittens. The Society currently consists of three distinguished individuals:<\/p> Mother, I Have Not Eaten in Minutes<\/strong> Mother, You Have Wronged Me<\/strong> Mother, I Am Displeased<\/strong> <\/p><\/li><\/ul> Each design is illustrated in a Victorian-style engraved aesthetic, with dry, understated captions that say exactly enough \u2014 and no more.<\/p> There\u2019s something about Victorian illustration that pairs perfectly with cats:<\/p> the melodrama<\/p><\/li> the restraint<\/p><\/li> the sense that emotions are being firmly<\/em> held together by etiquette alone<\/p> <\/p><\/li><\/ul> Add a cat, and it becomes a mirror of modern life \u2014 particularly if you live with one.<\/p> These designs aren\u2019t about novelty or trends. They\u2019re about recognition. That moment when you look at an image and think, yes, that is exactly the mood.<\/em><\/p> The Victorian Cat Society is intentionally small for now.
