LGBTQ+ History Month was founded by Schools Out, with the aim of celebrating equality and diversity in a time where the rights of LGBTQ+ people were threatened. The theme for 2025's campaign is Activism and Social Change. To mark the occasion, this year our in-house Queen of T-Shirts, Kate, has designed this lovely tee.<\/p>
<\/p>
Kate says 'When I think about activism and social change, I think about a prominent member of the LGBTQ+ community from the 1980s - Richard J Wells, who was the Oncology Nursing Advisor at the Royal College of Nursing in London (I was his secretary). When HIV and AIDS first became prominent in the news, deep fear gripped the nation. Richard was the driving force behind the AIDS Nursing Guidelines, and I've always had great admiration for the tireless work he did to drive social change and make things better. I've designed this t-shirt in his memory, and \u00a35 from every sale will be donated to the Terrence Higgins Trust.<\/p>
